The end of the school year

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Dear Parents / Guardians,

Tomorrow we come to the end of what has been a very difficult and challenging period for all children and parents since our school closure back in March. It has been an incredibly stressful and disappointing time for everyone involved and the year did not end in a way that any of us could have predicted.

In spite of all the disappointments, the children, parents and staff of TETNS have once again shown their resilience, determination and ability to face adversity with positivity and a strong work ethic.

Each and every child should be so proud of themselves for taking ownership of a very frustrating situation by doing as much work as possible, helping out at home and trying to keep a smile on their faces. I’m sure your parents have found the school closure very difficult but they are no doubt delighted with how each and everyone of you have coped with it.

To all of the parents, we would like to congratulate and thank you for all the great work you have been doing with your children at home whilst trying to deal with all the other challenges you have been presented with as a result of Covid 19. We are amazed by all the different activities and learning you have been doing with your children and you all deserve a well earned break from it for the summer.

For the first time, we are saying goodbye to a 6th Class virtually as the usual graduation ceremony cannot go ahead. The staff have put together a graduation video that will be uploaded to our website and social media for all to see tomorrow. We know this doesn’t come close to replacing your graduation but it is a small way we can show you how much you mean to us and the school. Hopefully, by the end of the summer the public health safety advice will change and we will be able to invite you all back to say goodbye face to face. In the meantime, good luck and congratulations to each and everyone of you, you have been an exceptional 6th Class and we will miss you all!

For the rest of the children and parents, we hope you can enjoy the break from school activities and make the most of your well earned breaks. We can’t wait to see you all again at the end of August and we will be in touch with you all again beforehand to let you know what our return to school routines will be.

Stay safe and we will talk to you soon!
