Proclamation Day

Tuesday 15th of March is Proclamation Day. Events will be taking place in schools across Ireland. We will have a full programme of activities for that day to mark the occasion. A central part of the day will be the raising of the flag that was presented to the school earlier in the year. We will have more details closer to the date.

 Seachtain na Gaeilge

Seachtain na Gaeilge is also fast approaching – also in early March. There will be activities for that week to celebrate Irish language and culture. We are already looking forward to the Céilí!

twitter

We have tweeted some photos of activities in the school over the last few weeks. We now have 85 followers! Please help us reach 100. You can follow us @TETNSnews.

Swimming

We are now halfway through the swimming. All is going well and the children arrive back in school refreshed and enthusiastic. Thanks to all for their cooperation!

Parent/Teacher Association

The PTA are organising a Movie Night in the school. This is a fundraiser for Educate Together in order to help the organisation address the shortfall in funding for this year. Keep an eye on our website for further details.

Fit Friday

There will be a new dance routine for Fit Friday from this Friday – everyone is welcome to join in!

Healthy Lunches

We are promoting healthy lunches in the school. The Wheel of Fruitune is very popular at our weekly assemblies. Children gain points for bringing fruit in their lunchboxes.

Chocolate and sugary snacks should not be included as part of children’s regular lunches.
