The Parent/Teacher Association are also looking for new members. You do not have to commit a huge amount of time. If you want to help out with one event, run after school classes, get to know other parents, help fund raise for the school or simply have a suggestion then get in touch!

You can leave your details in the form at the bottom of the page.

The Parent/Teacher Association have big plans for next year… Watch this space, or better yet, get involved!

School Closures

A new Primary Language Curriculum is being introduced from the 2016-17 school year. In preparation for this, the Department of Education and Skills has organised an inservice day for teachers.

Accordingly, the school will be closed for the children on Friday, 3rd of June. Teachers will be in the school on that day.

Also, we wish to remind parents that next Monday, the 6th of June, is a Public Holiday. School will re-open on Tuesday, 7th of June.

Primary School Sports

Congratulations to all the children who took part in the Primary School Sports in Santry Stadium. They represented the school very well and we are very proud of them all.

 Pupils Leaving

If pupils are leaving the school at any time between now and September, please inform the office.

School Reports

If pupils are leaving the school at any time between now and September, please inform the office.

Cycling to and from School

While we are very happy to see children cycling to school, we all need to remember to cycle safely. We do not want any children to be injured while coming to or going home from school.

We remind the children periodically about all aspects of road safety. We want them to enjoy cycling, but always with the first thought about the safety of the cyclist and of pedestrians.

Art and Craft Week

Sol LeWitt has been chosen as the artist whose work will be used as an inspiration for the art that will be created for Art and Craft Week. There will be an exhibition of children’s work in the school hall on Friday, 17th of June.

Active Schools Week

We will have our Active Schools week from the 20th to the 24th of June. Sports Day will take place during this week also, weather permitting.

 Pupil Absences

If pupils are absent for any reason, please contact the school. It is particularly important to do so if children are going to be absent for an extended period, such as early summer holidays or returning back to school late after the summer. This communication should be in writing, preferably.

Resource Money

If anyone wishes to commence payment of resource money for the next school year, 2016-17, please contact the office to make arrangements.

Contact Details

It is very important to inform the school of any changes in contact details, including address, email address or phone numbers. Please ensure that we have up to date contact information so that we may contact you as required.

Lost and Found Property

With the arrival of the warm weather, we notice that children are leaving items of clothing in the yard. Discarded items are placed on the table outside the office. If you notice that any of your child’s clothes are missing, please check the Lost and Found table.
