School Calendar
Just a quick reminder that school will close on Friday 28th for mid-term and will re-open on Monday the 7th of November for all pupils. Friday is a normal school day for all.
Facebook and twitter
We are on Facebook and twitter! Remember to like/follow us to keep up to date with everything that’s going on in TETNS.
Dress up day
We will have Dress-Up Day on Friday as we usually do at this time of the year. Children are welcome to dress up as a favourite character. However, we ask that care be taken with the selection of costumes as some children can be frightened by certain costumes. It’s probably best to think of funny rather than scary when choosing outfits!
Head lice
We remind parents to continue to be vigilant about head lice. Head lice are extremely common among school-going children. We have had a number of reports from parents regarding head lice in recent days.
We ask that parents check their children’s hair regularly and take appropriate action if they notice head lice.
School events
Following on from the success of Maths Week, our attention will shortly be turning to Science. Science Week takes place from November 13th to the 20th and TETNS will have many science-related activities during the week!
Safety over the mid-term break
Dublin Fire Brigade have reminded us that this is their busiest time of year. Evidence shows that children and young people are most likely to be injured at incidents involving fireworks and bonfires around now.
Dublin Fire Brigade will be using #firesafety on social media to promote safety over the coming period.
Room 13
Many thanks to Anne for all of the great work being done in Room 13. This week children from 6th Class went to the Lexicon library in Dun Laoghaire to see an Art Exhibition which featured the work of our own resident artist, Anne Cradden, among others.
Thanks to Fingal Co. Council Arts Department for their continued generous sponsorship of the Room 13 initiative.
