The next school holidays will begin on Thursday the 22nd of December. There will be a half-day for all pupils on that day (school closes at 11.40am). The school will re-open on Monday, 9th of January for all pupils at 08.40am.

Junior Infants 2017-18

Registration for Junior Infants who are starting school in September 2017 will take place on Wednesday the 7th and Thursday the 8th of December. On both days, the office will be open for registration between 2.00pm and 3.00pm.

Winter Assemblies

This year’s Winter Assemblies will take place on Friday the 16th of December. The format will be similar to previous years. There will be three separate assemblies: the first will be for Junior and Senior Infants, the second will be for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Classes, and the third will be for 4th, 5th and 6th Classes.

Christmas Annuals

The Folens Annuals are available from the office at €4 each, along with a complimentary pen or pencil. These make great gifts for this time of the year.

Winter Visitor!

Our annual visit to the school by a well-known winter visitor will take place on Monday the 19th of December. He will visit Junior and Senior Infants and Setanta Classes.

Parent-Teacher Meetings

Most of our Parent-Teacher meetings were held last week. Many thanks to everyone who cooperated in the organisation of the meetings. Meetings that were not held last week will be scheduled for the near future.

Dublin Bus 2017  Calendar Launch

The Dublin Bus Calendar for 2017 will be launched at an event on the 8th of December in the Civic Office in Wood Quay. We are very happy that art work by some of our pupils has been selected once again for the calendar. Well done to Anna (ex-pupil), Maria and Wafiyah (both in 6th Class)!

Sam Maguire Cup!

The Sam Maguire Cup will be paying a flying visit to our school on Monday next as part of its whistle stop tour of Dublin 15.

Fire Safety in the Home

Dublin Fire Brigade will be coming to the school on Thursday, 8th December to speak to pupils from 3rd and 4th Classes about Fire Safety in the Home.

School Photographs

The Junior Infants will have their photographs taken tomorrow, Thursday the 1st. The photographer will be back in the new year to take photographs of children in other classes. We will send details of costs and options closer to the time.

If your child is sick or going on holidays, please inform the office so that the reason for the absence can be recorded.
