School Calendar
Two dates to note for your diary:
- In-service for School staff on the Revised Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post-Primary Schools will take place on Wednesday, 7th March. Teachers will be in school on that date but there will be no school for the children.
- We have been notified by the Education Centre that we are having an Inservice Day for the Revised Language Curriculum on Tuesday, 13th March. Similarly, there will be no school for the children on that date.

Junior Infant enrolment
Places are still available for Junior Infant classes for the 2018-2019 school year. Please contact the office for further details.
6th Class Business
Every year, the 6th Classes run a mini-business. This year, they set up the Li’l Mart. They learned about budgeting, marketing, sales and many aspects of running a business. We wish to thank the pupils and parents for their co-operation and support. We also wish to thank Jodie and Louise, our two 6th Class teachers, for all the hard work behind the scenes!
Chinese New Year
Our friends from the Dublin 15 Chinese Language School came to our last Senior Assembly and helped 5th and 6th Classes to make some Chinese themed art to mark the beginning of the Chinese New Year.
Engineers Week
Next week is Engineers Week. Our neighbours from BMS have kindly sponsored a number of activities throughout the week.
Swimming lessons
Swimming lessons are proceeding in the Aquatic Centre. Please remind children to be sure to bring their swimming gear on the relevant days.
Contact details
If any of your contact details have changed, particularly phone numbers, please notify the office as soon as possible. This is particularly important as we regularly have to contact parents at very short notice. We also need the names of people to contact in the case of emergency.
Health
Repeat hearing tests for a number of Junior Infants are scheduled for Thursday, 22nd February
If a child is unwell, they should not be sent to school. Please keep them at home to recuperate until they are well enough to return to school.
