During the 2024/ 2025 school year, Tyrrelstown E.T.N.S. are delighted to be able to provide free school lunches for all students. This initiative is funded by the Department of Social Protection. This service is being provided in our school by a company called The Lunch Bag. More information about the company can be found here – https://www.thelunchbag.ie/
All currently enrolled students received a code with which to begin the ordering process. If this is not the case, or your child recently joined our school, we can provide you with a start up code.
It is the responsibility of each student’s parents to ensure that their child has lunch each day, either by ordering a free lunch or providing a lunch for them. The staff of Tyrrelstown E.T.N.S. have no control over the ordering or delivery process. Parents need to ensure their orders are placed or adjusted on time and then the meals are delivered to the school.
If you have any issues with this process, please contact The Lunch Bag directly – info@thelunchbag.ie.
The school cannot assist with incorrect or missing orders.
If you know that your child will be missing school for a few days, due to illness or family circumstances, please pause your order if possible. This is for two reasons;
- It helps the school deal with excess food waste.
- The school was provided with a grant for this service based on last year’s enrolment figures. We currently have more students than we did last year and every lunch ordered costs money. This may result in the grant running out before the end of the year.
***If you pause a lunch order, please don’t forget to restart it again.***
