This is a reminder that school closes at 11.40am for the Spring break on Friday 23rd of March.
Busy times ahead
We have a number of events for both parents and pupils coming up over the next few weeks! Keep an eye on our school calendar to make sure you don’t miss anything!
We would love to see you at one or more of them!
Munch and Mingle
Don’t forget about Munch and Mingle, happening tomorrow!
A chance to bring some home cooked food to share, try some new dishes and swap recipes!
Bring along your favourite dish and find some new favourites by trying what someone else brought.
If you are interested in bringing something, why not send your recipe into the school and we can print them out for others to take home and try?
There is no charge for attending this event, we would just love to see you!
We will be hosting a talk on Internet Safety with zeeko.ie on Tuesday 10th of April in the Community Centre at 7 pm. Internet Safety is extremely important and we feel that this will be a very informative session. This also coincides with some work that pupils from 2nd to 6th class will be doing on Internet Safety. Staff will receive training on the same subject that week also.
Cost: €5 (includes entry, popcorn and a drink)
Details: Children must attend Tyrrelstown Educate Together (1st -6th class only). Parents are welcome to have a cup of tea/coffee in the staff room but due to demand there is NO space for parents to sit in and watch the movie with their children.
WHERE CAN I BUY A TICKET?
Tickets are on sale from the Parent/Teacher Association on Thursday 19th of April outside the school hall. Tickets are on sale from 2 – 3 pm.
If you have any questions (or would like to help out at the event), please contact a member of the Parent/Teacher Association.
Scholastic Book Fair
The Book Fair is back!
The books will be arriving on Monday the 16th of April with hundreds of new books to browse and buy. Each class will have a chance during the day to have a look at the books and pick their favourites. Prices start from as low as €3.70.
If we run out of stock of a particular book, we can order more copies. We will only order books that have been paid for in advance. Orders will be placed the week after the Book Fair and distributed as soon as the order arrives.
If you are interested in helping out at in any way at the Book Fair, please get in touch with any of the members of the Parent/Teacher Association or let your child’s teacher know!
Are you planning a spring clean soon? TETNS will be holding a Toy Drive in April. We are looking for donations to help support play and Aistear in the Infant classes. Please check the school facebook and twitter pages for a list of items.
We will be accepting donations on Friday 20th of April (the same night as our Book Fair evening for parents and Movie Night – how about that for convenience?).
