Mid-term break

Dear parents and guardians,

As many of you will be aware, schools across the country will be closed for mid-term from 27th March 2021 and the children will return to school on 12th April 2021. This Friday is a half day and to follow compliance with a staggered departures, collection times are as follows:

  • 10:45am – Setanta Classes (this is to facilitate buses, any child in mainstream who gets these school buses will need to leave at this time too)
  • 10:55am – Junior Infants
  • 11:00am – Senior Infants
  • 11:05am – 6th Class
  • 11:10am – 5th Class
  • 11:15am – 4th Class
  • 11:20am – 3rd Class
  • 11:25am – 2nd Class
  • 11:30am – 1st Class

The usual school procedures will remain where older siblings can collect younger siblings and the children will leave from the same exit point they have done all year.

With regard to any families who have planned to travel abroad over the holiday period, it is essential that you follow the guidance set out by the government and factor any period of quarantine into your travel plans on your return. If this situation applies to you and your child will not be returning to school on 12th April please notify the office of this via email at info@tetns.ie.

It is also very important to bear in mind that anyone returning from abroad who would like their child to return to school earlier than the 14 day quarantine period will need to send the school a copy of a negative PCP test that was administered no sooner than 5 days after their return to Ireland.

Kind regards

Tim
